Q: Would you say that your followers influence your style?

SUSIE LOLA: “Definitely. People always tag me in posts or send me pieces they think I’d like, especially from small businesses, which I love. They’ve helped me find really cool items, which are similar to ones I already owned.”

Q: Who would you consider your fashion inspo? Any influencers or brands?

SUSIE LOLA: “I really like Courtney Mawhorr and Lucy McFadin. I feel like I’ve been super inspired by them lately.”

Q: Do you think that living in London has influenced your own style?

SUSIE LOLA: “Yes, I feel like everything happens here. A bunch of brands meet here and host their events, which helps you gain a following. I’ve met so many people through others because everyone knows each other. Living in London there’s also fashion all around you, I see several people on the street with cool pieces.”

Q: What’s next for your career? Any specific goals?

SUSIE LOLA: “I’d really love to do a collab with a brand and would be super happy if it were a sustainable one… I also think that when I have time I might start adding my own pieces to my brand again.”

From playing dress up to going to brand events, Susie has become an influencer to many in regards to creating a unique and vintage wardrobe. Having in mind that her recent “Autumn 2022 Trends I Love” video was a success, I knew that Sheesh Magazine readers needed to hear Susie’s insight on her Winter ‘22 fashion trend predictions.

Q: “Which fall trends do you think are going to continue into this winter?”

SUSIE LOLA: “I’d have to say ribbons, buckle riding shoes, Penny Lane coats and honestly ugly shoes. These are all definitely staying in style. I have seen the Penny Lane coat literally everywhere and love the Charlotte Simone ones but they’re quite an investment. I also feel like ugly, influencer and boxing shoes are really big right now, like shoes with interesting details on the front. I’ve also seen lots of flat shoes and buckle riding shoes, especially on Lucy McFadin.”

Q: “What do you think will be big this winter? Any trends you’d like to see?”

SUSIE LOLA: “I love and keep seeing fluffy shoes, which I think will be in style this winter. I’m seeing lots of midi pleated skirts, skirts with asymmetrical designs, moto jackets with tight collars and midi sheer socks. In London I keep seeing the Good Squish scrunchies but haven’t bought one yet because they’re $35 each. Fortunately, I found a dupe (stay tuned for the dupe in her upcoming Winter ‘22 trend predictions video). Lastly, I actually saw Bella Hadid wearing these very small glasses which might be popular because she is honestly the blueprint.”

Q: “I have been seeing a lot of girly pieces.. Do you think this trend will continue into the winter?”

SUSIE LOLA: “Yes. I absolutely love those pieces and think they’ll continue into the winter, especially ribbons… Those are here to stay. I feel like these pieces haven’t gotten their time in the spring or summer, so they’ll probably be a year-long trend. I really love the bloomers trend and have seen the bloomer-like material pants, which are a bit more out there but still super cool.”

Q: “Which trends do you think you might not buy into this winter?”

SUSIE LOLA: “I definitely won’t be wearing Uggs this year. I keep seeing the platform ones but they’re just too much. I’d also have to say that I don’t like the buckle riding boots I mentioned before, so I probably won’t wear those either.”

Q: “Last question, which is the most important one… What are your thoughts on coats this year?”

SUSIE LOLA: “Penny Lane coats. Besides those, I would have to say I’ve taken a liking to quilted jackets and tight jackets with fur on the wrists.”

You’ve heard it here first… This winter will consist of some interesting trends so brace yourself and keep up with Susie’s channel to learn more about the fashion industry. Happy styling!
