That’s all that matters.”

When did you get into fashion and styling?

COURTNEY MAWHORR: I first got into fashion around sophomore year of high school when I started changing my style and following local trends. To this day I still remember wanting to wear certain crazy things to school, but I always felt so weird about it and would push it away. I regret not sharing my style more at a young age. I grew up in a small beach town where all we wore was bikinis and Brandy Melville, but I always wanted to go outside of the box and as I grew older, I did. I got so much hate but also so much love.

Iconic bright blue faux-leather trousers paired with white knee-high heeled boots make for the perfect outfit. A pop of colour in the neon pink nails highlight the chunky statement rings whilst drawing attention to the feathered strappy crop top.

Wednesday:

The ultimate cozy fit. Courtneys’ loose fitting white shirt worn under an oversized sweater is dressed up with light blue jeans, a white mini shoulder bag, lexxola sunglasses and colourful rings. Uggs and a baby pink knitted headband add the extra element of comfort we all need in our outfits.

What are some staple pieces in your wardrobe?

COURTNEY MAWHORR: Jeannnnnnnsssssss! I’m always wearing jeans. Fun fact: I used to throw tantrums when my mom put me in jeans. I would scream and cry before I even looked at them and I remember her saying, “trust me, one day you’ll love them.” Back then I was like, “no Mom, you’re wrong!”, but now I look back and realize Mommy’s always right. I think about when I was little and how cool my mom’s style was. I’d always sit in her closet and dig for gold and I wish I would’ve put it all in a box and tucked it all away. If you’re reading this, love you Mom.

An incredible statement fur jacket, loafers and hat make the perfect Friday outfit. With this look, Courtney shows us how to perfectly style clothing in matching tones with different patterns, textures, shapes and shades.

What are your main style inspirations?

COURTNEY MAWHORR: I seriously get so easily inspired, whether it be the cute girl in Goodwill or the girl I saw on my for you page on TikTok. I get so inspired by movie characters and actresses too. I full-on cut a bob after watching Pulp Fiction. But my style ranges all over the board. One day I’m feeling a cute dress and boots, and the next I’m wearing my boyfriend’s t-shirt and baggy jeans. As I’ve grown, I’ve gained so much confidence in wearing whatever I want, wherever I want. It’s made my style so fun and spontaneous. I think we all have to grow into our own styles.
