4 Sexy and Sustainable Lingerie Companies

Feel good and look good with these three ethical lingerie companies that will cultivate confidence in not only what you wear, but where you purchased it from. These eco-friendly brands are free of human and animal harm during the manufacturing process and leave the environment healthier than ever. With all the staying inside— and for most of us, staying in bed— that we’ve had to do over the last year, lingerie is a key way to continue to feel and look your best even while staying at home. Ethical bras and panties are the perfect way to treat yourself and your partner in the new year, so check out the three brands we love below!

1. Soft and Wet Undies (@softandwetundies)

Soft and Wet Undies is a small independent and ethically made intimates company based out of Italy. All of their pieces are handmade from locally sourced silk and cotton by a small team. Soft and Wet is here to help young women feel comfortable and confident in their bodies and in sexy clothing. The brand states, “Soft and Wet finds comfort in simplicity while being luscious and desirable. It’s a caress to the female body and it embraces its delicate yet conscious femininity. My purpose is not to compromise either our tender or seductive side, while wearing something that has never felt so comfortable. I wish us all to find freedom in our bodies and in any way we choose to celebrate it”.

2. WAMA Underwear / @wamaunderwear

Imagine this: luxuriously soft undies that are naturally antibacterial, antiodor, vegan and sustainable… sound too good to be true? Well, it’s not a hoax, it’s hemp! Since 2016, WAMA underwear has been championing the benefits of textiles made from hemp. Unlike the all too common cotton, hemp uses less water in its production process and helps nourish— rather than degrade— the soil surrounding it. The many upsides of hemp undies are matched by the many styles, sizes, and colors WAMA offers. Because everyone deserves comfy and conscientious underwear (and bralettes!), both men and women’s undergarments are available in an inclusive array of nude shades and sizes XS to 3XL/4XL.

3. Fruity Booty Underwear (@fruitybootyunderwear)

Fruity Booty Lingerie meets everyone’s desires to feel sexy and confident while still wearing stylish pieces. Based out of the UK, Fruity Booty makes all of their garments out of repurposed and locally-sourced sustainable fabrics. The majority of their fabric is surplus fabric tailored by specialty seamstresses that have been making lingerie for over 30 years. Even their packaging and shipping is sustainable since the company has a “zero-single-use-plastic” policy. With everything one could imagine, from bras to bustiers, Fruity Booty is the perfect place to shop for a new look in or out of the bedroom.

Their goal is to “make sustainablity sexy” with their designer undergarments made from natural fibers. Made out of two main components, seaweed and wood, Clementine’s manufacturing process is a little different from others. SeaCell fabric is produced using the Lyocell process, an innovative and eco-friendly production method. Many of Alexander Clementine’s pieces are created with thick waistbands and straps to maximize comfort while continuing to stay stylish.
