Jordan Huxhold leaves much to the imagination. With his perfectly curated aesthetic and curls, his dedicated 1.5 million TikTok followers only get intriguing glimpses into his life in the form of lip syncing videos, guest appearances from his superstar girlfriend Maddy Crum, and high fashion thirst traps. With every fifteen second video, Jordan leaves viewers wanting more, and wondering who the TikTok star is beneath his seriously sophisticated and piping hot persona.

The truth? He’s a down-to-earth, sensitive, 20-year-old guy from Cape Canaveral, Florida. He likes movies and alone time and forming deep connections. Don’t get us wrong, he also has hair that’s the envy of Rapunzel and has crafted sick high fashion campaigns that are what dreams are made of. But what you may not realize from his platforms is that Jordan is passionate about mental health. He aspires to make a name for himself in the fashion industry. And above all, he knows that “everyone’s shit stinks.” But we’ll get to that later.

Jordan Huxhold, the Chameleon

Jordan’s decision to showcase little of his personality on TikTok was an intentional choice with a genius logic behind it. “I’ve curated a mysteriousness on my socials,” Jordan told SHEESH!, acknowledging that his followers hardly even know what his voice sounds like, thanks to his strategic use of audios. “This allows people to use their own creativity and build a certain image of me. Some people view me as a vampire, or a hippie, a bodybuilder or even a dad relationship guy. I think this can broaden my audience big time by letting their minds travel.”

Jordan doesn’t just leave much to the imagination. He leaves room to be imagined. Through this powerful form of presentation, Jordan gives his audience the opportunity to make him into whatever they need him to be. He’s not being fake, or putting on a face; it’s the exact opposite. Jordan Huxhold allows the creativity of his audience to bring him to life and make him real.

Jordan Huxhold, the Soon-To-Be Supermodel

But who does he want to be, you might wonder? Using his creative eye and unmatched knack for aesthetics, Jordan Huxhold aspires to make a name for himself in the modeling industry. “I want to really set up a strong career for myself and something to grow into. I want to showcase who Jordan is.” We’ll have front row tickets to his fashion week debut, please?

While Jordan has dreamed of modeling since day one, TikTok was undoubtedly a path he was not expecting to take. “I never thought that this was an option or a possibility,” Jordan said. TikTok viewers have witnessed first-hand the way that the app is able to jumpstart careers and create superstars—but they have also seen its attempts to lock creators in a “TikToker” box.

“TikTok has gotten me a lot of exposure and knocked out a few of those stepping stones,” Jordan remarks. “I am so thankful to even be in the group of people that are considered TikTokers, but I also don’t want to become stuck in that. I definitely want to transition to the modeling side of things, and really make a name for myself and build respect in that area.”

Signed to both Society and Elite Models, Jordan’s modeling career is certainly underway and gaining traction. He knows that he has TikTok to thank for easing this transition, one that he is taking seriously. But he also has to thank his superhero chameleon skills, ones that allow him to not just take the form of who his followers may imagine him to be, but to shapeshift, transform, and come alive in front of the camera.

Jordan Huxhold, the Creative Director, Editor, Photographer, and…

As he continues to immerse himself in the fashion industry, Jordan has created epic campaigns and content for legendary brands like Marc Jacobs and Dior, allowing him to flex his creative and modeling muscles. While his followers get to see the campaign reveals and finished shots, the work that creators put into a project from start to finish often goes unseen. “We have to take up to sometimes 1000 photos for people to pick three of them,” Jordan told SHEESH! “It looks easy, it looks like we just went there and took three photos, but people don’t realize that it was not like that.” From creative directing, to editing, to captioning, Jordan is both behind and in front of the camera for every campaign. He’s the face of it and the brains behind it.

When crafting this content, Jordan starts with an overarching vision for the shoot, in which he pulls his inspiration from one of his favorite past-times: movies. “Whether it’s a movie from the 1940s or a movie from last year, you need to have inspiration and an aesthetic drive to impress people, because the goal is to make things look familiar, but not too familiar as if they’ve already been seen,” Jordan explained. By grabbing inspo from movies or iconic characters, Jordan knows he can hone into a consistent tone and give viewers something they’ve never seen before, but also something they already love.

Jordan Huxhold, a Human Who’s Struggling, Too

Wearing many hats can be just as tiring as it is rewarding, and Jordan is committed to using his platform to raise awareness for mental health, whether that be encouraging his followers to engage in good practices or bringing attention to the very real toll that social media can take on creators.

“You constantly feel like you have to look good every day for social media, and I think that’s the hardest part,” Jordan said. “Having to look at yourself 1000 times a day, that just becomes very unhealthy.”

This effect that social media has on creators—and on everyone’s—mental health, body image, and comparison tendencies just isn’t talked about enough, and Jordan is ready to start the conversation, hoping that other creators will jump in. “I’m excited to see more creators talk about mental health and set a positive example, showing that they’re taking the initiative to go to a therapist, or to be a little bit healthier, or to say, ‘Hey guys, I need a couple days off.’ Just like anyone, we need time to reset.”

Jordan Huxhold, Whose Shit Stinks, Just Like Yours

When looking at Jordan’s profile, we see a crisp, clean man whose life is made up of sleek outfits and sexy smirks. But what Jordan continuously emphasized to SHEESH! is that we only see fifteen seconds. We only see the highlights, and the smiles, and the kisses, and the best outfits. It’s easy to think that creators we look up to have an unblemished life. But the truth is, that everyone’s shit stinks.

“My great grandma used to say that to my grandma. Everyone’s the same. Everyone has anxieties. Everyone’s depressed. Everyone cares a little too much about things that they shouldn’t care too much about. It’s just a moment in time. That person up here is not as perfect or as happy as you think they are. Everyone’s shit stinks.”

Whether you see him as a vampire, or a bodybuilder, or a hippie, Jordan doesn’t mind, as long as you recognize that you are only seeing a slice, a sliver, into who he is. And with each video, campaign, and thought-provoking comment, we are lucky enough to get to know Jordan a little bit more. He’s grounded, he’s kind, and he’s only just getting started.
