MONDAY:
RACHEL NOELLE: This is an outfit I wore recently to get lunch with some friends. I was totally inspired by Matilda Djerf for this look because she always wears her striped sets. I saw this set on Boohoo and just had to have it. I know the blazer on top of the matching set is really popular right now.
How would you describe your style?
RACHEL NOELLE: My style has definitely evolved. I’ve tried out so many different aesthetics. Earlier this year, I was really into neutrals and a very colorless vibe. Whereas in September, I kind of switched over and fell in love with vibrant colors and patterns. Currently, I am really into everything color at the moment. I love mixing blues and greens or pinks and oranges. However, that’s just my style right now. I don’t limit myself to one aesthetic or style because I could like something totally different in the next couple of months.
TUESDAY:
RACHEL NOELLE: I would definitely wear this to a date night on a beach in Mexico. I love this maxi dress with this psychedelic print on it from Pretty Little Thing. A fashion must-have for me is my candy jewelry. I always wear chunky rings and a Martha Calvo inspired necklace from Depop.
What is something that frustrates you about fashion?
RACHEL NOELLE: One thing that really frustrates me is that people tend to think that there are rules to fashion. People assume that fashion is supposed to be one thing or one way, but there’s really no right or wrong. It’s really about self expression, wearing what you want and wearing what makes you feel good.
WEDNESDAY:
RACHEL NOELLE: This is an outfit I just casually wear strolling down the street or to go get drinks with friends. These pants are amazing. They capture a more retro, 70s vibe. I wore my signature space buns too.
What are some of your favorite places to shop?
RACHEL NOELLE: I fell in love with Depop this year. I found so many cool pieces and I’ve found that my most popular outfits on Instagram are from thrift stores or Depop. Some other brands I love are Pretty Little Thing, Boohoo, House of Sunny, Paloma Wool and Naked Wolfe.
What outfit or style makes you feel the most confident?
RACHEL NOELLE: I would just say dressing as funky and out there as possible; the type of outfit that is going to turn heads has made me feel the most confident. I just don’t care what people think and I love the idea of wearing whatever I want.
THURSDAY:
RACHEL NOELLE: This is definitely what I would wear for a typical beach day. This crochet set is from Yarns Truly on Depop. They’re an amazing small business!
Runway walkout song?
RACHEL NOELLE: I don’t have a particular song in mind, but I think, Beyonce.
FRIDAY:
RACHEL NOELLE: I absolutely love this outfit. I wore this to go thrift shopping; I went to one of my favorite vintage stores in Milwaukee called Plume MKE. I always get questions about these sunglasses that I wear. They’re from Amazon and they’re iconic, they’re also only like $6. This bag is by Glynit. I believe they’re a small Swedish brand on Instagram.
Do you have any advice for how to be comfortable experimenting with personal style?
RACHEL NOELLE: There’s no right or wrong with fashion. People shouldn’t be afraid to wear what they want and feel most confident in. At the end of the day, it really doesn’t matter at all. I think that it’s really important to try out different outfits and even play dress up. See how it makes you feel and if it makes you feel amazing, then wear it! You don’t have to wear it in front of anyone else. Play dress up for yourself! For people wanting to find their style, I think it’s very helpful to create Pinterest boards to have some inspiration for styles and outfits they like.
