You might know Lola Keyser as the brains behind Lolita Jade, the trendsetting fur tote bags that were on all your favorite influencer’s shoulders. Now, get ready to see them head to toe in Lola’s creations. Launching her second brand, Violet Daisy, Lola has created an obsession-worthy collection of clothing, ranging from jackets, dresses, skirts, and tops. She is more than excited to share with the world her very much awaited collection and Sheesh Magazine is honored to have her share some behind the scenes with us.
Tell us about your first Violet Daisy collection! What exactly will you be releasing?
LOLA KEYSER: The first collection launches on Saturday 11/27 at 9 AM PST. The line is a total of 7 styles, 22 pieces and consists of fur jackets, tops, dresses and skirts. This first collection is a variety of pieces that can be paired together or styled with jeans and other accessories. I wanted this line to be versatile in that you can wear these pieces day or night, allowing you to dress it up or down. The size range is XS-XL to start out but in the future I would love to continue expanding the range to smaller and bigger sizes than what we currently are offering. I would say my favorite piece in the line is the Lolita Lace Dress because it really hugs everyone’s curves so nicely and can be styled so many different ways.
What is your clothing inspired by? Who do you envision wearing your clothing?
LOLA KEYSER: The clothing is inspired by 90’s fashion. I envision my friends and my Lolita Jade customers wearing this line and feeling good while wearing it.
While transitioning from creating and releasing accessories to clothing is a big one, it makes perfect sense. Lola will put no halt to Lolita Jade, but instead will run usual business alongside Violet Daisy, the new sister brand. Violet Daisy will be the bridge between the accessories and the clothing made by Lola. Together, Lola suggests, “both brands can be worn together or separately depending on how you want to style it. I was inspired to do clothing because I felt there were pieces missing in my own closet that I’ve always wanted to make and wear so why not share with everyone!”
Did you ever think that “Lolita Jade” would take you this far… to a new brand!?
LOLA KEYSER: Absolutely not. To be completely honest I cannot believe any of this is happening. I started Lolita Jade just over a year ago now and since then have been genuinely shocked and so, so grateful for what has happened. It has been the biggest learning experience for me starting both of these lines and I am so happy people like them and want to wear them. I am so excited about my new product coming in 2022 for Lolita Jade and the future of that brand. But also cannot wait to learn about and experience launching a clothing line. I could not have created this line without the amazing team behind me. I didn’t realize how many people it takes behind the scenes to pull something together like this. I’m talking pattern makers, contractors, production managers, sewers, etc. They really all had a hand in making this line come together. Both brands are an extension of me and my style and I truly hope people feel good wearing them.
What can we expect from Violet Daisy?
LOLA KEYSER: You can expect so many more collections and capsules coming in the near future from Violet Daisy. This first collection has been in the works for the last 6 months but we have so many new ideas and things in the works for 2022 and for the future of Violet Daisy. We will be doing so many photoshoots, new collections and expanding our product line and cannot wait for you to see!
