Multidisciplinary artist Alewya released her debut single “Sweating” at the end of June. The London-based singer delivers a sensory masterpiece with the monochrome visuals and sensual melodies in “Sweating” underscoring her luxurious vocals.

“i want war (BUT I NEED PEACE) – Kali Uchis

Dropped during self-isolation, Kali Uchis’s four-track EP record provides a delectable canapé before the release of her sophomore album. In the two and a half minute track Uchis’s smooth vocals and melancholic harmonies are complimented by the accompanying piano chords.

“By Any Means” – Jorja Smith

British singer-songwriter Jorja Smith’s new single “By Any Means” was inspired by the Black Lives Matter protests the artist attended and her desire to continue the conversation. The new single is part of Roc Nation’s upcoming project Reprise, where proceeds from the project will be donated to support victims of police brutality, hate crimes, and violations of civil rights.

“The Kill”- Jessie Ware

English singer, songwriter, and podcaster Jessie Ware released her fourth critically acclaimed studio album, What’s Your Pleasure?, earlier this summer. The dance record invokes 80’s disco glamour with each track nourishing the subtleties of Ware’s voice. In “The Kill,” Ware’s vocals hypnotically blend into the darker themes of the song—take a listen.

“Can’t Help Myself”- Alexandra Savior

At the start of January, Alexandra Savior released her much anticipated sophomore album, The Archer. Throughout the record, Savior’s vocals ooze cinematic elegance as they deliver enchantingly lucid lyrics. None more so than in the track “Can’t Help Myself.”

“Good Times” – Ghali

Italian rapper and record producer, Ghali, released his second studio album at the height of the coronavirus epidemic in Italy. The fourth track, “Good Times,” from his No.1 album DNA quickly became the single of the year in the Italian music scene. Ghali emphasizes the importance of preserving moments of happiness from a judgemental society.

“Stir Crazy” – Andrew Beck

A member of Prospect Records, singer-songwriter Andrew Beck released his five track EP this past July. Across each track, Beck displays the richness of his vocals alongside wistful verses. Take a listen to the title track off his EP, Stir Crazy.
