24kGoldn went beyond the status his name suggests when his viral record “Valentino” hit platinum earlier this year. Being the first rapper from San Francisco to meet this milestone was quite the accomplishment, however, it’s only one of many the 19-year old has managed to achieve within his career. Alongside Jack Harlow, Polo G, and other notable names, 24kGoldn was just inducted into the XXL 2020 Freshman Class. Hence the line, “dropped out of college but I’m still a freshman.”
A quick look at 24kGoldn’s Instagram reveals statement pieces like trucker hats, bulky belts, and varsity-inspired jackets as staples in his wardrobe. Rather than have only one item be the focus of a fit, this fashion aficionado is not afraid to pair gaudy garments together. His lively confidence and contagious charisma is admired by fans and reflected in his clothing choices, surely making 24kGoldn stand out in any pre-corona crowd.
Sheesh Magazine was lucky enough to chat with 24kGoldn about his ultimate grails, favorite onstage looks, and future fashion predictions.
SHEESH!: Is it just me or are people sleeping on your style? It is not talked about enough.
24kGoldn: Man, you are so right.
SHEESH!: Ok, then let’s talk about it. What’s your ultimate grail, one that you own and one that you look forward to owning?
24kGoldn: I’m looking forward to owning Undercover Arts and Crafts blue denim. That I own already would be Nike Yeezy 1.
SHEESH!: What is your go-to quarantine fit?
24kGoldn: I’m loving sweatpants, like flared sweatpants, everything flare now for pants.
SHEESH!: Do you have any particular onstage or event look that was most memorable for you?
24kGoldn: Man, let me find some pics. Yes, for my last tour with Cordae I wore this furry trapper hat everywhere tryna make it a thing again but I don’t know how well that worked.
SHEESH!: Do you feel like your style changed with the move from SF to LA?
24kGoldn: Yeah, I was always dressing wild. But moving to LA I met other people that were into fashion I could learn from and hone in on my style.
SHEESH!: What do you mean you’ve always been dressing wild? Have you been flexing on kids since elementary school?
24kGoldn: Since middle school fasho.
SHEESH!: Is there any one specific person or piece that first got you into fashion?
24kGoldn: There was this kid in my 7th grade English class who came in with Concord 11s and once I saw those I was hooked.
SHEESH!: What do you predict will be the next big trend in fashion?
24kGoldn: The next big fashion trend is flared pants.
