Taja Spasskova Perfectly Captures the Loneliness of the Pandemic

Isolation feels claustrophobic, and after months of remaining indoors the walls of our homes seem to be closing in on us. Taja Spasskova, a photographer based in Prague, collaborated with Canadian art student Tia Gronlund to perfectly capture the feeling of claustrophobia in the photo series Isolation. While the feeling of claustrophobia isn’t anything new, Taja is specifically exploring it in relation to the recent global pandemic. In the photos, she included items that society has found most important during this time: masks, disinfectant wipes, and iPhones. Another key feature is the plastic wrap used to symbolize suffocation. Taja Spasskova Perfectly Captures the Loneliness of the PandemicTaja Spasskova Perfectly Captures the Loneliness of the PandemicTaja Spasskova Perfectly Captures the Loneliness of the PandemicTaja Spasskova Perfectly Captures the Loneliness of the PandemicTaja Spasskova Perfectly Captures the Loneliness of the PandemicTaja Spasskova Perfectly Captures the Loneliness of the PandemicTaja Spasskova Perfectly Captures the Loneliness of the Pandemic Taja Spasskova Perfectly Captures the Loneliness of the PandemicTaja Spasskova Perfectly Captures the Loneliness of the PandemicTaja Spasskova Perfectly Captures the Loneliness of the Pandemic
